About the Role

Newburyport Five Cents Savings Bank is seeking a skilled Relationship Banker to join our team. As a Relationship Banker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with clients, and promoting our bank's products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Effectiveness
    • Maintain a thorough knowledge of all bank products, services, procedures, policies, and regulatory issues.
    • Deepen relationships with new and existing customers by discussing and identifying their financial needs.
    • Meet performance goals consistently, while actively promoting products and services to add value and create customer awareness.
    • Participate in bank-wide incentive programs and business development initiatives.
    • Service customers by processing a variety of transactions with minimal or no errors.
  • Customer Focus
    • Consistently provide superior and professional customer service.
    • Participate in civic, social, and community relations activities to promote and strengthen the bank's image.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum of high school education or equivalent in addition to 3+ years of retail or customer service experience.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
    • Basic understanding and aptitude for math, working with numbers, and cash handling.
    • Demonstrated aptitude for customer service and comfort level with verbal and written communications.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
