Job Summary:

As a Service Technician at Cubic Corporation, you will be responsible for performing testing, repair, and maintenance activities on equipment at field sites. You will operate and maintain digital and analog electronic devices, troubleshoot assemblies to the board level, and work under close supervision and direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior field technicians in setting up, installing, and initiating the operations and servicing of equipment at field sites.
  • Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
  • Interface with customer agencies in a professional manner.
  • Identify and analyze equipment malfunctions and utilize basic hand tools, various maintenance and repair manuals, test equipment, wiring diagrams, schematics, electronic devices, and electrical equipment to rework, repair, and maintain equipment.
  • Maintain records of all maintenance activities in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Assist other site technicians in solving unusual problems in the hardware.
  • Perform general maintenance on all installed equipment.
  • Perform technical and semi-technical tasks not always electronic in nature.
  • Interpret schematics, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, work orders, maintenance, and technical manuals.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Two-year college degree, or equivalent, in electronics, and/or related technical school, plus a minimum of 1 year related experience desired.
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions to rework, repair, test, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to travel foreign and domestic.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical material.
  • Must be able to lift 50 Lbs.
  • Ability to work in crowded public stations, extreme cold and heat, walk, stand for extended periods, and climb stairs.
  • Ability to work in hectic and noisy environments.

Cubic Pay Range:
$20 - $25 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
