Postdoctoral Researcher in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics

Rutgers University's Department of Physics and Astronomy is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate in experimental condensed matter physics. The successful candidate will lead a research program within the Center, focusing on thin-film growth and characterization using pulsed laser deposition and other PVD methods.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in experimental condensed matter physics, with a focus on thin-film growth and characterization.
- Lead a research program within the Center, collaborating with faculty and staff.
- Develop and implement new research projects, including experimental design and data analysis.
- Present research findings at conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
- Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science, or a related field completed within the past 7 years.
- Excellent research and communication skills, with a strong publication record.
- Ability to work independently and lead projects with multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong motivation and a highly collaborative mindset.
- A record of productive and creative research, demonstrated through publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse range of research projects and collaborations.
