Position SummaryThe Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) Sales Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating access to MLTC and Medicaid Advantage Plus (MAP) insurance by providing education and support to long-term care recipients. This position involves delivering comprehensive information on Managed Long-Term Care and Medicaid Advantage Plus features and benefits to consumers, providers, and business partners.
Key Responsibilities- Educate and enroll eligible Medicaid and Medicare/Medicaid dual beneficiaries in MetroPlusHealth's MLTC and MAP offerings.
- Identify potential Medicaid and dual-eligible Medicare/Medicaid consumers through various community resources.
- Understand and apply all relevant policies and procedures regarding product disclosures and enrollment processes.
- Maintain knowledge of services available to Medicaid and dual-eligible consumers, including in-home services, housing options, and government benefits.
- Communicate the essential features and benefits of MetroPlusHealth's MLTC and MAP products.
- Assist consumers in selecting primary care providers and completing necessary documentation.
- Conduct outreach and follow-up on leads and referrals from family members and caregivers.
- Ensure compliance with marketing activity guidelines set by regulatory agencies.
- Build and sustain relationships with home care providers, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.
- High School Diploma or GED required; college degree or coursework preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in sales and customer relations.
- Experience in Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) and Medicaid Advantage Plus (MAP) is essential.
- New York State Life, Accident, and Health Insurance Agent License required.
- Valid NYS Driver's License is advantageous.
