Job Summary:

Adecco Medical & Science is assisting a local client in their search to hire a Dental Assistant in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate will assist dentists and residents with dental procedures and patient treatment, providing assistance during general anesthesia, cosmetic surgical procedures, and implant dentistry procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in gowning and gloving surgeons
Escort patients from waiting area to operatory and prepare patient for procedure
Check and record vital signs on charts prior to procedure
Prepare implant for insertion and I.V. cases
Protect airways during anesthesia by suctioning and proper positioning of head and chin
Prepare, drop-off, and pick up instruments to and from sterilization department and stores in their proper storage cabinet
Clean all hand tubing, instruments, and maintains tidiness of treatment room prior to leaving procedure
Take, develop, and mount x-rays

Requirements:

Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant Program
Valid dental radiologic technology license issued by NJ Department of Environmental Protection
CPR certified
