Surgical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Assistant to join our dental team at ProSmile. As a Surgical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our dental professionals during surgical procedures, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare treatment rooms for surgeries by sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready.
- Assist dentists and oral surgeons during dental procedures, surgeries, and examinations.
- Ensure patients are comfortable, addressing their concerns, and providing support during procedures.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment, following established infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and replenish surgical supplies and maintain inventory levels.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
- Adhere to strict infection control policies and maintain a clean and sterile environment in the dental office.
- Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene as directed by the dentist.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a dental assistant program or equivalent surgical assistant training.
- Current CPR certification.
- X-ray certification preferred.
