**Safety Supervisor Overview**

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a dedicated Safety Supervisor to lead our production team and ensure a safe working environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and training to employees on safety, quality, and production standards.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide leadership and training to employees on safety, quality, and production standards
  • Coordinate production activities with other departments to ensure timely and cost-effective production
  • Work closely with supervisors, top management, and employees to enforce safety policies
  • Establish and monitor shift performance for safety, quality, and production standards
  • Enter production data accurately into the system to measure and monitor KPIs
  • Update communication boards to keep production floor team members informed about safety, quality, and efficiency metrics
  • Conduct safety checks and inspections to identify unsafe and/or hazardous practices
  • Report safety incidents to EHS and transport employees for medical care when necessary
  • Develop and manage safety records, including training records, accident reports, and investigation reports
  • Drive the implementation of safety policies and manage the Safety Committee to ensure worker safety
  • Intervene in unsafe activities or operations being carried out by employees
  • Work with other team members to control and improve efficiencies, minimize labor overtime, downtime, and repair expenses

**Requirements**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree or Bachelor degree in engineering or operations management preferred
  • 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification a plus
  • Previous Labor Relations experience and experience working in a Lean environment a plus
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, but not required
  • Flexibility to work multiple shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed
