As a key member of our team at Ascend Nonprofit Solutions, the Child Advocate Supervisor will play a vital role in supporting the agency mission by providing hope and healing to those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and child maltreatment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing intake, assessment, case management, crisis intervention, safety planning, court education, information, and referrals via the hotline and chat feature.
  • Ensuring coordinated client care with key community partners.
  • Managing client and stakeholder complaints and grievances.
  • Assisting with cross-program coordination and collaboration with staff to ensure all client and program needs are met.
  • Maintaining confidential and accurate, up to date client, stakeholder, intern, and volunteer records, program and agency records in agency databases.
  • Researching, writing, and managing grant reporting and grantor relationships as assigned by supervisor.
  • Adhering to agency and program procedures concerning documentation, Critical Incident Reports, and Client Satisfaction Surveys, and participating in the Quality Assurance process.
  • Recruiting, selecting, and evaluating staff.
  • Providing primary supervision, direction, training, support, and coaching of assigned staff through regular communication, timely performance management, and oversight.
  • Ensuring Hotline program coverage in partnership with Hotline Volunteer Coordinator and Director of Hotline.
  • Managing staff complaints and grievances.
  • Ensuring the delivery of quality services through clear program procedures and guidelines.
  • Supporting agency and program with creating/maintaining budget, policies, and procedures as assigned.
  • Participating in community meetings and committees as assigned by supervisor.
  • Promoting and maintaining professional relationships with agency staff, volunteers, interns, stakeholders, and community partners.
  • Working with assigned staff to identify program development opportunities and implement new program services.
  • Facilitating New Employee Orientation and volunteer training as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of trauma and victimization, particularly in the areas of intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and child maltreatment.

They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.

A bachelor's degree in a related field and relevant work experience are required for this position.

Spanish-speaking proficiency is preferred.
