Facilities Maintenance Assistant Job Description

At RATP Dev, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Augusta Transit Management. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing various maintenance and custodial tasks to ensure the facilities are clean, well-maintained, and safe for employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash cans
  • Assist in the maintenance of facilities, including repairing equipment and performing minor repairs
  • Keep areas free of debris and clutter, including parking lots, walkways, and grounds
  • Operate basic machinery, such as lawn mowers and floor scrubbers
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent desirable
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently and 10 pounds constantly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain a safe and healthy work environment

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience
