Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the front of house operations of our restaurant, ensuring a high level of consistent guest service and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Coach Team Members: Supervise and coach restaurant staff to ensure efficient operation of the outlet, maintaining a high level of guest service and adhering to company policies.
  • Interact with Guests: Interact positively with guests, promoting restaurant facilities and services, and maintaining rapport with all departments and attending relevant meetings.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure all areas are properly handling alcohol beverages in accordance with State and Federal Liquor policies, and observe safety and legal requirements as to health and labor department requirements.
  • Support Food & Beverage Operations: Support the entire Food & Beverage operation, including supervising other areas if necessary, handling special projects, running promotions, and handling public relations.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of restaurant operations, including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction, as well as skilled in math and algebraic equations using percentages, and ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing with guests and other team members.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to Stand and Walk: Ability to stand and walk during 8 to 10 hour shifts.
  • Ability to Reach and Bend: Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and wipe to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to Lift and Carry: Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 40 pounds and place items on high and low shelves.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.

Training and Experience:

Position requires 3-5 years previous Food & Beverage experience, good people skills, and good communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as full flexibility to accommodate varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the restaurant.
