Job Title: Clinical Dietitian

Geisinger Health System is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing safe, competent, and evidence-based nutritional therapy to our patients.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Dietitian to join our team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with our healthcare team to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans that meet the unique needs of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assess individual needs through synthesis of information obtained through assessment interviews, food and nutrition histories, and review of medical records.
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans that meet the unique needs of our patients.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop goals related to patient care.
  • Plan and coordinate the use of special dietary regimens.
  • Document initial assessment plans for nutritional care and progress relative to same in the medical record.
  • Evaluate nutritional status of individuals and make recommendations regarding provision of optimal care.
  • Counsel individuals, families, and caregivers on normal nutrition and therapeutic diets.
  • Plan and conduct group classes for individuals in various areas of nutrition.
  • Collaborate in or conduct food and nutrition research to demonstrate food and nutrition-related outcomes.
  • Consult, educate, and advocate on behalf of individuals, groups, and special populations regarding food, culinary, nutrition, and health issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or related field.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
