Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Professional to join our team as an Orthopedic Care Specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to providing high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting providers with orthopedic procedures, preparing examination rooms, and documenting patient care using electronic medical record software.

You will also have the chance to develop your skills in scheduling appointments, completing prior authorizations, processing medication refills, handling referrals, answering calls, and completing paperwork. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist providers with orthopedic procedures, including surgeries and other medical interventions.
  • Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Room patients, obtain health history, check vital signs, and document all relevant information.
  • Administer injections and collect specimens as needed.
  • Document patient care using NextGen electronic medical record software.
  • Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls, and complete paperwork.
Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in medical assistance or a related field, with experience working in a healthcare setting. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and certification as a medical assistant (CMA) or licensed practical nurse (LPN) is preferred.
