Job Title: Preconstruction Manager

Are you a seasoned construction professional looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Preconstruction Manager to join our team at Michael Page International in Chicago.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead our construction management team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all documentation to ensure project compliance, schedule, and budget
  • Obtain, assemble, distribute, and fill all as-built drawings, warranties, certificates of occupancy, and lien releases
  • Schedule projects in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines
  • Build and maintain relationships critical to the success of the overall project and company
  • Track and analyze data to reduce gaps between estimates and actual costs
  • Obtain and track subcontract bids and negotiate budgets
  • Prepare and present estimate documentation, including gaps in available data
  • Prepares estimates according to the requirements of multiple delivery systems
  • Reviews quotes and estimates with the project management team
  • Assists with certain post-bid buyouts
  • Initiates and participates in meet and greet presentations with subcontractors and suppliers
Requirements:
  • 15+ years experience in construction
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Construction Related Field
  • Experience with both hard bidding and conceptual bidding
  • Successful track record with industrial construction projects
  • Great organizational skills, and ability to handle complex responsibilities
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Outlook & Excel
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction documents
  • Ability to negotiate terms and conditions
  • Knowledge of project management and accounting fundamentals relating to the construction industry
What We Offer:
  • Competitive base salary between $140,000-$160,000, depending on project experience and skills
  • 10%-15% yearly bonuses based upon performance
