**Job Summary**
K2 Staffing is seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for providing pre- and post-sales support, deploying and managing Windows Servers and Active Directory, designing Local Area Networks, and implementing and monitoring network security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical support and guidance to clients.
- Deploy and manage Windows Servers and Active Directory to ensure seamless network operations.
- Design and implement Local Area Networks to meet client business needs.
- Implement and monitor network security measures to prevent unauthorized access.
- Optimize and maintain network software and hardware to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Build and deploy file servers and cloud computing solutions to support client business operations.
- Configure and deploy VOIP solutions to enhance client communication.
- Perform network infrastructure troubleshooting to resolve technical issues.
- Manage Microsoft Exchange Server to ensure email and communication systems are running smoothly.
- Monitor alert systems and take appropriate action to prevent technical issues.
- Use technical expertise to resolve complex technical issues and provide solutions to clients.
- Participate in new user onboarding to ensure seamless integration into client systems.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers, and workstations.
- Proven experience working in an MSP environment.
- Three years of experience in a client-facing environment, such as sales engineering.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients at a business level.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience writing proposals for and implementing technical solutions to fulfill business needs.
- Results-oriented, self-motivated, energetic, professional, reliable, and a team player.
- Strong understanding of technology and business productivity systems.
- Experience with RMM (remote monitoring and management) tools, such as Kaseya or Connectwise, a plus.
- Experience with PSA (ticketing system) tools, such as Autotask or Connectwise, a plus.
- Ability to problem solve at a high level, provide extraordinary customer service, and possess strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Sales training experience a plus.
Ideal Qualifications:
- CompTIA Net+ and/or CompTIA Security+ certifications.
- MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator/Solutions Associate) or MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) MCITP Microsoft Certified IT Professional, MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) certifications.
- CCNA or CCIE-Cisco certifications a real plus.
