As a key player in our engineering team, the Packaging Systems Engineer III collaborates with process, controls, and facility engineers to define, design, and implement packaging machinery for clients in the food and beverage sector.

Key Responsibilities
Design:
- Develop comprehensive design and scope documentation.
- Create innovative design concepts tailored to client needs.
- Formulate functional specifications for packaging systems.
- Employ sanitary design principles for various product types.
- Generate AutoCAD layouts for equipment.
- Analyze mechanical design requirements and customer specifications.
- Review and validate vendor drawings and coordination plans.
Engineering:
- Serve as a subject matter expert in specific packaging domains.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Produce packaging flow diagrams, material balances, and equipment specifications.
- Establish project budgets and manage bid packages.
- Maintain delivery and installation timelines.
- Provide insights into manufacturing and packaging design principles.
- Design systems for conveyance, wrapping, bagging, and more.
- Assist in process simulations and procurement documentation.
- Prepare machine testing protocols.
Site Coordination:
- Assess existing site conditions.
- Facilitate on-site project management and coordination.
- Supervise the installation and commissioning of packaging systems.
- Collaborate with equipment vendors and installation teams.
- Lead client presentations and factory acceptance testing.
- Mentor and guide project teams while acting as the primary client liaison.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, packaging, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
- 8-11 years of relevant experience in the field.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
- Experience in the food and beverage manufacturing sector is essential.
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to travel up to 50% for project oversight.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer.
- Capability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
