Position: Wire Production Technician

Key Responsibilities:
As a Wire Production Technician, you will operate machinery to ensure the production of high-quality products in accordance with specific work instructions.

Your duties will include:

  • Interpreting work orders and bills of materials to ascertain product specifications.
  • Ensuring quantity and quality standards are met to achieve efficiency targets.
  • Utilizing various machinery and equipment effectively.
  • Performing maintenance on machinery during operations.
  • Making necessary adjustments to machinery settings.
  • Communicating any machinery issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
  • Conducting inspections of products to guarantee excellence and quality using measuring tools (e.g., tape measure, micrometer).
  • Securing all required approvals for production processes.
  • Labeling packages accurately.
  • Storing or placing products in designated areas.
  • Completing necessary documentation to ensure production rates are achieved.
  • Entering production data into the company ERP system.
  • Documenting all downtime accurately.
  • Adhering to all safety and housekeeping protocols, including conducting daily safety inspections.
  • Participating in all assigned training sessions, including health and safety training.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic math functions.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry.
  • Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
  • Prior manufacturing experience is advantageous.
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Exhibiting efficient work habits.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
  • Ability to frequently lift 20-50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Continuous standing and frequent walking.
  • Capability to use hands and feet for handling and controlling machinery.
  • Engaging in bending, twisting, and reaching movements.
  • Repetitive motion tasks.
  • Wearing personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, ear protection, safety shoes, and gloves as necessary.
  • Working indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions, including exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Encountering sounds and noise levels that may be distracting.
  • Exposure to minor cuts, burns, and contaminants.
  • Working with hazardous equipment in a team environment.
Schedule:
