Position: Wire Production Technician
Key Responsibilities:
As a Wire Production Technician, you will operate machinery to ensure the production of high-quality products in accordance with specific work instructions.
Your duties will include:
- Interpreting work orders and bills of materials to ascertain product specifications.
- Ensuring quantity and quality standards are met to achieve efficiency targets.
- Utilizing various machinery and equipment effectively.
- Performing maintenance on machinery during operations.
- Making necessary adjustments to machinery settings.
- Communicating any machinery issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
- Conducting inspections of products to guarantee excellence and quality using measuring tools (e.g., tape measure, micrometer).
- Securing all required approvals for production processes.
- Labeling packages accurately.
- Storing or placing products in designated areas.
- Completing necessary documentation to ensure production rates are achieved.
- Entering production data into the company ERP system.
- Documenting all downtime accurately.
- Adhering to all safety and housekeeping protocols, including conducting daily safety inspections.
- Participating in all assigned training sessions, including health and safety training.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic math functions.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
- Prior manufacturing experience is advantageous.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Exhibiting efficient work habits.
- Ability to frequently lift 20-50 lbs and occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.
- Continuous standing and frequent walking.
- Capability to use hands and feet for handling and controlling machinery.
- Engaging in bending, twisting, and reaching movements.
- Repetitive motion tasks.
- Wearing personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, ear protection, safety shoes, and gloves as necessary.
- Working indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions, including exposure to varying temperatures.
- Encountering sounds and noise levels that may be distracting.
- Exposure to minor cuts, burns, and contaminants.
- Working with hazardous equipment in a team environment.
- Various shifts available.
- 8-hour shifts.
