Medical Research Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team at Pinnacle Clinical Research. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of our lab, ensuring the highest quality of research and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lab Operations: Perform lab tests, collect subject specimens, and process samples according to corresponding study lab manuals.
- Phlebotomy and Specimen Processing: Responsible for daily phlebotomy (venipuncture, IV catheter or capillary collections) and specimen processing, and biological sample shipping using universal precautions.
- Sample Management: Collect, organize, store, and ship samples in accordance with quality control and all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample.
- Inventory Management: Track inventory of lab kits from the central lab and re-order as needed. Ensure there are no expired lab kits on premises.
- Lab Maintenance: Maintain a clean and sanitary laboratory area, storage area, and lab restroom always. Clean and maintain lab equipment, including alerting the Lab Manager or Clinical Research Project Manager when recalibration of equipment is needed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certifications: Certified in phlebotomy preferred with at least 1 year of experience.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Training: Must complete CITI and GCP training before interacting with participants and must re-certify every 3 years.
- Language Skills: Proficient in English and Spanish preferred.
- Communication: Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external contacts.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced team environment.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly when under pressure.
