Ultrasound Imaging Specialist

The Colorado Center For Reproductive Medicine is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our dedicated team. As a vital member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting families through advanced reproductive technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures related to OB/GYN and infertility.
- Utilize various transducers and advanced imaging equipment to execute ultrasound procedures, including embryo transfers and Doppler studies.
- Ensure accurate and timely importation of scans into the patient electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Identify and differentiate normal and abnormal anatomical structures, providing assessments based on the findings during imaging.
- Educate patients regarding the procedures performed and effectively communicate findings during the imaging process.
- Promptly address any concerns or abnormal results with the supervising physician.
- Maintain clear communication with healthcare providers regarding ultrasound findings and document them appropriately in the EMR.
- Organize daily workflow to ensure efficient patient care and procedure scheduling.
- Manage billing documentation accurately for services rendered.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of imaging equipment and examination areas between patient visits.
- Order necessary supplies and reconcile inventory as needed.
- Coordinate ultrasound staffing to ensure adequate coverage across all locations.
- Act as a liaison between the ultrasound team and physicians to uphold high standards of patient care.
- Provide guidance and performance feedback to ultrasound staff.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of new ultrasound personnel.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards for ultrasound practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certification as an American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDS) is mandatory.
- ARDMS certification with active status maintained through continuing education is essential.
- A minimum of two years of experience in OB/GYN or infertility sonography is preferred.
Work Environment: This position operates in a professional clinical setting where standard office equipment is utilized. The role requires interaction with patients and adherence to medical regulations and ethical guidelines to ensure optimal care and safety for both patients and staff.
