Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Programmer Analyst II to join our team at WCM-Q. The successful candidate will provide dedicated data management support for research projects by querying databases and preparing datasets for analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Query large databases (millions of records) using SAS and SQL to extract relevant data for research projects.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to discuss data requests and progress updates, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality data.
  • Perform data cleaning in R or SAS to prepare datasets for statistical analysis, working closely with Research Biostatisticians to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Conduct basic data analyses and produce data-related reports as needed, utilizing expertise in SAS programming and macro language.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a related field, such as biostatistics or a health-related discipline with a concentration or certificate in biostatistics/data analysis.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience providing data management/programming support in a collaborative health research setting.
  • Experience working with large datasets (millions of records) and proficiency in SQL, R, and SAS programming.
  • Coding expertise in SAS, including proficiency with macro language, and experience analyzing health insurance claims data, preferably Medicare data specifically.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAS Certification.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL databases.
