Data Analyst II

The Data Analyst II plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, security, and enhancement of data value within the Mount Sinai Health System. This position oversees activities related to data management, validation, and organization, ensuring that data is accessible to authorized personnel and systems.
The Data Analyst II is responsible for developing and executing reports that are essential assets for the practice. These reports will be used to evaluate and develop a new model of care.
To be successful in this role, the Data Analyst II must have a strong background in analytics, report development, and database management. A bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, or a related field is required, with a master's degree in a relevant field preferred.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in analytics, including report development and database application/management experience, preferably in a large medical center or healthcare environment.
The Data Analyst II will work closely with clinical and administrative staff to define data reporting needs, develop analytic reports, and use modeling techniques to analyze and specify data structure.
The successful candidate will maintain data integrity, complete data analysis as necessary, and document, implement, and maintain procedures for data entry, data cleaning, and other administrative tasks.
The Data Analyst II will also identify and recommend solutions to data management issues, maintain knowledge of current regulations and technologies related to data management, and write and prepare manuscripts and other materials for internal and external audiences.
