Job Summary

UPMC is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the Oncology Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing IV therapy, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Collaborate with our healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state where the facility is located.
  • Successful completion of an IV therapy curriculum within 4 months of hire.
  • Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple/changing priorities, and specialized equipment.
  • Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients.
