Position Summary:
NRSS is in search of a Regional Safety Manager - Training & Compliance to oversee field operations for Class 1 Railroads, Regional Short Lines, Transit Systems, and various stakeholders in the railroad industry.

Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Railroad Engineering, Railroad Design, Railroad Construction, Communication, or Education (Preferred).
Alternatively, a combination of relevant technical training and experience will be considered.

Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity within Railroad Engineering, Design, Construction, Communication, or Education (Class 1 experience preferred).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical training programs in both classroom and field settings.
  • Ensure quality instruction and maintain accurate records for clients.
  • Develop and evaluate training materials using industry-standard methodologies.
  • Manage project teams and coordinate resources to meet objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and recommend project adjustments as needed.
  • Oversee all phases of project management from initiation to closure.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for management and clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment:
This position involves both fieldwork and office duties.

Physical Requirements:
Employees must be able to hear, speak, read, and write clearly in English. The role may require long-distance travel and the ability to stand for extended periods, as well as the capacity to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
