  • Oversee direct materials and purchased goods for designated programs across various sectors (e.g., metal components, plastics, adhesives, wiring harnesses, electronic assemblies, etc.)
  • Facilitate cost assessments to establish benchmarks for purchased goods.
  • Lead the supplier Request for Quotation/Information (RFQ/RFI) process, evaluate supplier bids for direct materials, and negotiate pricing, tooling, and timelines with external vendors.
  • Accountable for supplier selection in collaboration with the Commodity Specialist and Purchasing Director.
  • Manage all supply chain elements and total delivered costs for assigned products in alignment with business objectives.
  • Formulate material strategies that reduce financial and operational risks.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D and Engineering teams to ensure synergy with the supply chain and technologies.
  • Draft and negotiate mutual non-disclosure agreements with suppliers.
Required Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Procurement.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written, with the capacity to engage across all levels of the organization.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as needed.
  • 2-7 years of experience in Direct Materials Procurement.
  • Proven negotiation skills with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems; experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Demonstrated potential for advancement to roles with greater responsibility and influence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player, both internally and externally.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (especially Excel) and experience with document management, including engineering drawing releases and revision control.
  • Capability to comprehend and interpret component drawings and material specifications.
