We are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Technician to join our team at Montefiore Medical Center. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our refrigeration equipment, air conditioning units, and other HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair refrigeration equipment, including walk-in boxes, ice makers, and air conditioning units
  • Fabricate metal parts for equipment repairs and perform brazing and soldering of equipment
  • Replace and repair motors, valves, and gaskets, and document repairs and parts used
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and operate refrigerating machinery and cooler units

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in refrigeration and air conditioning repair
  • Valid E.P.A. Universal Certificate for Refrigerants
  • Completion of a trade apprenticeship program or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and perform arithmetic computations
