- Health Education and Guidance: Educate students, parents, and school staff on health-related topics, including nutrition, exercise, and good health habits.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure seamless healthcare services and promote student success.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student health information, including medical history, immunization records, and treatment plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, such as injuries or illnesses, and provide necessary care and treatment.
- Education and Certification: Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate certificate as a school nurse, and valid Washington State RN license.
- Experience: Successful experience as a nurse in a school setting, preferably with pediatric experience and knowledge of student cultural and economic diversity.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in using technology devices and software programs.
