Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT SAP Functional Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our SAP Electric Ops Work Management Delivery organization, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our PowerPlan modules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, implement, maintain, and upgrade PowerPlan modules to meet business requirements.
  • Provide expert functional analysis and support to ensure seamless integration with Finance and Tax areas.
  • Analyze and optimize complex business processes across all PowerPlan modules.
  • Identify and propose IT solutions to cross-organizational business problems.
  • Evaluate current customizations and advocate for standard functionalities.
  • Automate and optimize the PowerPlan system.
  • Map business requirements to SAP S4 system capabilities and configure to meet requirements.
  • Review design and technical specification documents.
  • Perform PowerPlan configuration and quality review and testing activities.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst in the PowerPlan system.
  • Familiarity with CR, PM, Asset/ARO, Depr modules, and their data flow.
  • Project creation, estimating, and approval.
  • Collecting and classifying charges (derivations and true-up).
  • In-service and completion of work orders.
  • PowerTax and Tax Repairs.
  • Creating checks and balances to prevent data issues in automated processes.
  • Lease Accounting Module.
  • Month-End Close Processes.
  • PowerPlan Integration Tools.
  • SDLC and Integration Best Practices/ETL processes.
  • SAP experience (tables, structure, GUI, Hana, settlement process, integration impacts).
  • S4HANA ERP Implementation and Upgrades.
  • Accounting Concepts in Asset Management/Depreciation.
  • Mass property accounting.
  • Group depreciation.
  • Various asset retirement methods.
  • ARO accounting.
  • GAAP vs. FERC Accounting Concepts.
  • Interacting with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Communicating success/failure stories to management teams.
