Expert IT SAP Functional Analyst

Job Summary:

The Expert IT SAP Functional Analyst is responsible for designing, configuring, and developing complex work management solutions using SAP EAM and SCM modules. This role requires expertise in SAP ERP systems, solution design, and implementation, as well as experience in managing end-to-end business processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert consulting in SAP ERP systems to clients and senior IT leadership to identify and satisfy business needs.
  • Responsible for solution design and implementation involving SAP EAM and SCM.
  • Expected to be the SAP functional lead on one or more projects, reviewing deliverables by SAP consultants, accountable for SAP delivery on assigned projects.
  • Analyze end-to-end complex business processes and information needs of clients in one or more business functional areas.
  • Partner with business teams, technical analysts, architecture, and strategy organizations to develop strategies and plans to integrate SAP to total solutions.
  • Evaluate and document alternatives that will provide the most effective solutions to complex business problems.
  • Responsible for SAP RICEFW objects development in work management area for projects, enhancements, and production support.
  • Responsible to prepare requirements documents, As-Is, To-Be processes, and identify gaps.
  • Design system processes to bridge the gap, build prototypes, prepare functional specifications, prepare test plans, and test scripts.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and obtain business sign-off.
  • Provide SAP subject matter expertise to Client lines of business and ensure best practices are adapted.
  • Responsible for overall SAP solution and SAP interfaces to other SAP and non-SAP systems.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Computer Science/Information Systems, Business, Engineering, etc., or equivalent work experience.
  • 7 years designing, configuring, and developing complex work management solutions using SAP EAM and SCM modules.
  • 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst.
  • 5 years of experience implementing or supporting an ERP system (ERP - e.g., SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree is a plus.
  • SAP S/4 EAM implementation and/or support experience.
  • Experience in SAP EAM Cloud solutions for e.g., SAP Asset Performance Management (APM) and SAP Service and Asset Manager (SAM) and/or SAP Field Service Management (FSM).
  • Gas and/or Electric utility experience.
  • Demonstrates familiarity in the following areas: SOX compliance, regulatory compliance, operational/disaster recovery.
  • SAP EAM and/or SCM certification.
  • Demonstrates understanding of SAP Finance (FICO), SAP Human Capital Management (HCM), Success Factors, SAP Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) SAP Project Systems (PS) integration with EAM Module.
  • Demonstrates integration experience with GIS solutions; for e.g., ESRI ArcGIS SAP Geographical Enablement Framework (GEF).
