Position Summary: The Fitness Center Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations during assigned shifts, ensuring that the team achieves and surpasses sales objectives while maintaining exceptional customer service and a pristine environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership:
    • Guide and inspire a team of front desk and sales personnel, ensuring they meet performance expectations and deliver outstanding customer service.
    • Model best practices in sales, customer engagement, and facility upkeep.
    • Train new hires on sales strategies, customer relationship management systems, and service protocols.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to review objectives, performance, and improvement strategies.
  • Sales and CRM Oversight:
    • Manage the use of CRM tools to track leads, follow up with potential members, and ensure appointments are set and fulfilled.
    • Assist team members in conducting facility tours and finalizing membership sales.
    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as appointment settings, attendance, membership conversion rates, and assessment bookings.
    • Collaborate on strategies to enhance membership sales and achieve team goals.
  • Customer Service and Facility Management:
    • Guarantee that all members and potential members receive exceptional service.
    • Address and resolve customer inquiries or issues that arise during shifts.
    • Ensure the facility is clean and welcoming, working alongside the front desk team to maintain high cleanliness standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections of the gym to identify areas needing attention, ensuring equipment is well-maintained and the space is orderly.
    • Implement and oversee cleaning schedules to ensure all areas, including locker rooms and workout spaces, are regularly sanitized.
    • Confirm that the facility is safe and that all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Operational Support:
    • Manage daily operational tasks, including gym opening and closing procedures, cash management, and ensuring readiness for subsequent shifts.
    • Work with management on staffing requirements and scheduling.
    • Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role within sales, customer service, or the fitness sector.
    • Experience in a gym or fitness-related environment is advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
    • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a significant advantage.
