Job Summary
SIG is seeking an entry-level Event Coordinator to support its in-person and digital events. This position will be responsible for coordinating logistics, administrative tasks, and materials/website support for SIG's one-day programming and general support of registration desks and other onsite programs.
Core Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor event timelines and ensure that deadlines are met.
- Provide on-site and digital event logistic support.
- Update and maintain event session descriptions, speakers, headshots, and agendas on SIG's website.
- Prepare supporting documents for each event, including presentations, agendas, event timelines, attendee lists, name badges, and tent cards.
- Select and coordinate event sites, oversee food and beverage arrangements, and monitor attendance.
- Provide onsite coordination to ensure a smooth flow of the day, regular status meetings with speakers and SIG leadership, and shipping of documentation.
- Order furniture for SIG's Tech Lounge and pop-up meetings, coordinate the Future of Sourcing awards show, and manage SIG provider prizes.
- Communicate with event speakers and presenters, SIG provider sponsors, and SIG leadership team, ensuring all content deliverables and sponsor product are received and delivered.
- Support delegate acquisition, SIG's Call for Proposal process, SIG's Summit App, and SIG's User Attendance Campaign.
- Assist with managing SIG's Provider Showcases and Innovation Halls, including booth support, and carry out on-site tasks for SIG events.
- Stay current with new event logistical tools and technology, and conduct program analytics to continuously improve SIG program offerings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Event Management or a related field.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with SIG members and employees.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing and Sales teams, prioritize tasks and projects, and effectively respond to time-sensitive issues.
- Ability to work independently, while thriving in a collaborative environment, and manage through change and work in an innovative, fast-paced environment.
- Effective computer skills and knowledge of desktop applications, including MS Office, and knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
