At GDIT, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive training on Army Mission Command Systems through our various tools and systems that support training across diverse operational environments.

ROLE SIGNIFICANCE:

The Cybersecurity Systems Officer (CSO) is pivotal in executing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) program, ensuring the highest level of security for our information systems. This role involves collaboration with the Government Information System Security Manager (ISSM), establishing protocols, enforcing policies, and mitigating vulnerabilities identified through evaluations, audits, and inspections.

  • Apply configuration directives from DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
  • Proficiency in Cisco operating systems and network management tools such as SolarWinds is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with the ACAS server suite, scanning methodologies, and both physical and virtual server environments is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and maintaining accreditation documentation is necessary.
  • Oversee Authority to Operate (ATO) processes in eMASS and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Network Accreditation.
  • Develop, update, and enforce network and system security protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in military training support.
  • Security Clearance: A current SECRET clearance is mandatory, with eligibility for TS/SCI.
  • Location: Position based at Fort Drum MTC with a work schedule that adapts to training event requirements.
  • Travel: Occasional travel may be necessary (less than 10%).
