Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing all Respiratory Care procedures in the general and critical care settings.
  • Oversight and management of all Blood Gas related duties, including blood gas machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and staff training.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care program.
  • Current RCP Texas State License.
  • Mandatory completion of NBRC Advanced Practitioner (registry) exam.
  • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification.
  • Completion of NBRC Advanced Practitioner (registry) exam.
  • Current NBRC credentials.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution, with at least two years of training and/or experience in nonwaived testing.
