About the Role
The Commercial GEOINT Discovery and Assessments Office (SCD) is responsible for identifying and acquiring the most effective commercial GEOINT resources for the National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG). The mission of SCD includes coordinating and managing the discovery, evaluation, procurement, and delivery of commercial GEOINT solutions for the NSG. Key functions include:
- Engaging with industry stakeholders and existing NSG initiatives to identify commercial GEOINT solutions based on customer demand, market availability, and the unique needs of the Intelligence Community (IC).
- Collaborating with NSG partners to ascertain mission requirements and evaluate commercial solutions, informing acquisition strategies.
- Coordinating assessments across the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).
- Enhancing governance processes to ensure efficient discovery, assessment, and resource allocation.
- Strengthening sensor resilience through a diverse array of commercial suppliers.
- Identifying commercial solutions that align with prioritized NSG needs and managing procurement and delivery to fulfill those requirements.
Assess project performance organization-wide and provide comprehensive recommendations to the Government. Offer expertise and guidance in planning, managing, and executing programs and projects. Deliver advanced and objective insights into program challenges, execution risks, and corrective measures. Draft, review, and publish program reports as mandated by regulations. Participate in program management and business reviews, providing constructive feedback to the Government. Support programmatic efforts with development contractors. Review and refine management policies, instructions, standards, and best practices. Develop tailored contract oversight and scope verification activities in line with NGA policies. Review and evaluate documentation and changes. Engage in NGA planning activities with Mission Partners and contractor-led Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and working groups. Create and update project business plans, advocacy presentations, and project timelines according to agency policies. Develop and coordinate Project Plans and approval documentation.
Your Responsibilities
- Facilitate cross-organizational teams on large-scale projects or significant segments of complex projects.
- Analyze new and intricate project-related challenges and devise innovative solutions encompassing finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and components.
- Conduct applications systems analysis and programming activities for government sites and facilities.
- Prepare long-term and short-term plans for application selection, systems development, maintenance, and production activities, along with necessary support resources.
- Oversee all facets of project management.
Required Qualifications
- Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI) Security Clearance
- US Citizenship
- Proven experience in Commercial GEOINT, ensuring compliance with specified requirements.
- Experience with Intelligence Community data types, missions, and functions, including geospatial requirements processes and production.
- Experience in electronic publishing and the publication production workflow.
- Experience interacting with senior-level directors and agency heads.
- Experience leading and guiding teams of specialists, sharing knowledge, and collaborating effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including building spreadsheets and consolidating inputs from various offices.
- Experience making strategic decisions in a collaborative environment.
