Patient Advocate Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Patient Advocate Specialist to join our team at Miami Beach Medical Group. As a Patient Advocate Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the highest quality care possible. This includes collaborating with patients, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of healthcare policies and procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Performs outreach to encourage adherence with evidenced-based guidelines to improve the health of our overall population.
  • Receives and makes patient calls to schedule/re-schedule appointments and provides instructions from primary clinician.
  • Assists clinician with medical assistant duties when needed.

Requirements:
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of related experience in a clinic or hospital setting, as well as a strong knowledge of healthcare and managed care administration policies. A medical background, such as a Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Foreign Medical Graduate (MD), is preferred. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
