Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Attendant to join our team at Newbridge Health & Wellness. As a Certified Nursing Attendant, you will provide high-quality patient care in our Long Term Care Unit, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient care with a focus on patient growth and development, tailored to the needs of our patients.
  • Observe and report any changes in patients' physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Take and record vital signs, reporting any deviations from normal to the Charge Nurse.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including skin care, and record oral intake and urinary output.
  • Communicate effectively with the Charge Nurse and Primary Nurse regarding patient needs and requests.
  • Participate in unit committees and CQI activities as assigned.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an approved Nurses Aide training course.
  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Maintains Nurses Aide Certification.
  • Heartsaver certification required.
  • 1 year of experience as a Nurse's Aide preferred.
Work Environment

This role will be based in our Long Term Care Unit, with frequent interaction with patients, visitors, and staff. You will be required to lift, position, push, and/or transfer patients, and will be expected to wear protective clothing, including a face shield, gloves, impermeable gown, and particulate respirator.
