Position Overview

Lee College is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach part-time in the Art Studio department. As an adjunct faculty member, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise and passion for art with our students.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach freshman and sophomore-level Art Studio courses, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to engage students and promote learning.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the College's goals and objectives, and ensures student learning outcomes are met.
  • Maintain accurate student records, submit required reports, and provide counsel/guidance to students as needed.
  • Teach assigned classes in accordance with approved syllabi, outlines, and instructional materials, and provide at least one scheduled office hour per week for each three-credit course.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement departmental goals and objectives, and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair or dean, and participate in departmental meetings and activities as needed.


Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Qualified candidates must have a Master's (or higher) degree in the teaching field or a Master's (or higher) degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field. Prior online teaching experience and certification are preferred, as well as Blackboard Learning Management System experience.
