Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Optician to join our team at American Vision Partners. As an Optician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of quality in our eyewear products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret prescriptions and assist patients in selecting the perfect eyewear, collaborating with prescribing physicians as needed.
  • Take precise optical measurements for eyewear preparation.
  • Order eyewear from our laboratory based on prescription and patient preferences.
  • Conduct quality inspections of lenses and frames.
  • Adjust eyewear to perfection using specialized tools and educate patients on proper cleaning and handling techniques.
  • Maintain equipment and inventory of supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous optical experience preferred, with a willingness to learn and grow with our team.
  • ABO and NCLE certification a plus, with a requirement to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Licensed Dispensing Optician (LDO) certification a plus.
  • Detailed-oriented, reliable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible schedule, working Monday through Friday.
