Store Sales Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth at Mattress Firm. As a Store Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading the sales team to achieve sales targets, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of store appearance and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the sales team to achieve sales targets and drive business growth
Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive customer experience
Maintain a high level of store appearance and functionality, ensuring a clean and organized store environment
Train and coach sales team members on sales techniques, product knowledge, and operating activities
Manage sales associate performance and hold them accountable for achieving personal sales goals and demonstrating company values
Execute performance improvement plans, progressively discipline, and terminate when appropriate
Lead store visits with District Manager and/or Regional VP, identifying areas of success and opportunity
Maintain customer relationships during and post-purchase, resolving issues and delivering reminders
Create an environment where customers are always at the center and have an exceptional experience
Communicate professionally and regularly with field employees to address immediate concerns and questions
Assist in multi-store staffing, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates
Continue to develop skills, competencies, and product knowledge through assigned coursework, training, and other company-led activities
Requirements
3+ years of retail sales experience, preferably in a leadership role
Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving sales targets
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve sales targets
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
