Job Summary

Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the upkeep of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Offer courteous and professional service to internal and external customers, including employees and vendors.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company equipment, facilities, and properties, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Construction and Fabrication: Assist in constructing fixtures and equipment for use in company operations, including woodworking, metalwork, and electrical work.
  • Maintenance of Equipment and Tools: Operate and maintain a variety of machinery, including gas and arc welding equipment, to join metal parts and repair or fabricate equipment.
  • Training and Meetings: Attend mandatory management and training meetings, as well as conduct department meetings monthly, to stay informed and up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
  • Confidentiality and Safety: Maintain agency confidentiality and adhere to all health, safety, and fire standards, as well as local, state, and federal regulations (WISHA & OSHA).
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with Workforce Development and Social Services to provide participant services and maintain open communication with colleagues and management.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of experience in construction and/or building maintenance.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of machinery, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical tools, as well as experience in welding and remodeling.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
