Urban Sprouts Child Development Center is a licensed center providing care for 124 children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Lead Chef and Kitchen Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, preparing meals, and maintaining food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meal Preparation: Prepare breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks for all classrooms, including staff.
  • Food Handling and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work space, including all food storage areas, and adhere to health and sanitation guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with assistant or volunteers to organize and put away groceries, food orders, and non-food items.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a lead kitchen role.
  • Certifications: Food Handlers Certification and CACFP Training (provided through Urban Sprouts).
  • Organizational Skills: Organized, clean, and adaptable individual.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
