Position Summary

The Assistant Manager for Global Accounting Integration will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design, execution, and support of enhancements and integrations within our accounting systems. This position requires collaboration with international teams to effectively implement corporate accounting policies, processes, controls, and financial systems, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate communication between the corporate office and various brands and regions regarding accounting matters.
  • Assist in the implementation of uniform accounting policies and processes across the global organization.
  • Provide support to regional teams to resolve integration and implementation accounting challenges, including system design and post-launch support.
  • Collaborate with IT and key business stakeholders to prioritize enhancements in system functionality.
  • Identify opportunities for accounting process improvements, document findings, and recommend actionable plans.
  • Work with internal teams and subsidiary locations to ensure successful execution of project plans.
  • Conduct technical research to support various projects, transactions, and documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures in compliance with GAAP.
  • Contribute to the creation of a global accounting playbook detailing policies and procedures.
  • Support the general ledger team in managing the global chart of accounts, reviewing and approving requests for changes.
  • Assist with due diligence for potential business expansion, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Explore and maintain new accounting tools to enhance operational efficiencies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in a financial or accounting role, preferably in a leadership capacity. Experience in a public company and familiarity with system implementations are advantageous.
