At Thomas Jefferson University/Jefferson Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Crisis Response Center Clinical Psychologist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals in crisis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to patients in the Crisis Response Center, a 24/7 service providing immediate assistance to individuals with behavioral health crises.
  • Supervise the clinical work of professional staff, residents, medical students, and other trainees in the CRC.
  • Evaluate admissions and discharges for quality assurance and participate in clinical treatment teams as needed.
  • Evaluate involuntary admissions for QI standards and safety.
  • Follow CRC, Hospital, and Departmental policies and procedures and comply with standards of regulatory agencies.
  • Presents coursework for residents and medical students as assigned by the Medical Director or Associate Chair.
  • Participate in weekly department huddles, medical staff, and administrative committees of the hospital as required by the Medical Director or Chair.
  • Attend departmental educational activities and assume clinical responsibilities as a participant in the overall practice plan of the department as directed by the Chairman.
  • Provide linkage with the Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Disability Services (DBHIDS) and other agencies as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • M.D. or D.O. from an accredited program.
  • Completion of approved psychiatric residency.
  • Valid license to practice medicine in the State of Pennsylvania.
  • Board certified/board eligible by ABPN.
