About the Role

Rise Against Hunger is seeking a highly motivated and organized Event Coordinator to join our Community Engagement team. As an Event Coordinator, you will play a critical role in facilitating our meal packing events, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for our volunteers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute meal packing events, including setup, logistics, and teardown
  • Manage event volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with hosting groups and organizations
  • Represent Rise Against Hunger at events, promoting our mission and values
  • Collaborate with the Community Engagement team to develop and implement event strategies
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including DOT regulations
Requirements
  • Age 21 years or older
  • Proficiency in Google/Microsoft office suite and other cloud-based software
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and willingness to drive a box truck
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and early mornings
  • Resourcefulness to work in different spaces and environments
