About the Role

This position exists to provide investigative support to a dedicated federal government customer. The Senior Investigative Analyst will enable federal government customers with the information that will assist in evaluating threats, critical incidents, and criminal research. This analyst will bridge the gap between customer requirements and production outcome as a subject matter expert on LexisNexis Risk solutions within the Special Investigations Unit (SIU). This is a hybrid position, that will be majority homebased but will require periodic office-based time in Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Customer Mission: Provide analytical and investigative awareness to support federal government customers in evaluating threats, critical incidents, and criminal research.
  • On-Site Analytic Support: Provide on-site analytic support in a multi-disciplinary team environment to deliver analytic briefs and work products.
  • Data Analysis: Process, integrate, sync, and analyze data from multiple data sources to look for and identify trends.
  • Operational Efficiency: Operate professionally and efficiently, often without direct supervision, while conducting high-quality analysis and support across diverse analytic and law enforcement officials.
  • Software Tools: Use industry-standard analytic software tools at an Expert level.
  • Critical Reasoning: Apply critical reasoning and the scientific process to identify behavioral, spatial, and temporal patterns of human decisions in diverse datasets to predict specific predatory activity.
  • Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Law Enforcement Experience: Have 4+ years experience in Law Enforcement.
  • Education: Have Bachelor's or Higher.
  • Organizational Skills: Have expert organizational and time management skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Logical Application: Have demonstrated competence in logical application to research and problem solving.
  • Software Skills: Have ability to use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, ESRI ArcGIS, i2 Analysts Notebook, and proprietary LexisNexis tools at an expert level.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Have solid interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Travel and Flexibility: Have ability to travel up to 30%, and flexibility to work various shifts.
