Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic Team Member to join our team at Steamboat Ski Resort. As a key member of our Slope Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a variety of vehicles, including snowcats, snowmobiles, and trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain vehicles, snowcats, and snowmobiles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and hydraulics.
  • Work on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Interact with other departments to explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs.
  • Follow proper tracking procedures and complete repair orders for maintenance work performed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in heavy equipment repair or automotive technology.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company's insurance carrier requirements.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
