Palliative Care Physician/Site Leader, Assistant/Associate/Professor

The University of Vermont Medical Center seeks a board-certified or eligible Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician to join our growing academic Division of Palliative Medicine as a Palliative Care Physician and Academic Leader.
This is a 1.0 FTE position with a structured schedule of 135 days of inpatient clinical days, including weekends and holidays, with additional time spent on program development and quality improvement leadership.
The successful candidate will assume the Site Leader Role for the University of Vermont Medical Center site of the University of Vermont Health Network Division of Palliative Medicine, overseeing all day-to-day clinical and educational activities for the University of Vermont Medical Center Division of Palliative Medicine site.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience successfully leading an interprofessional clinical team and demonstrate outstanding communication skills in interpersonal, clinical, and teaching settings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assume the Site Leader Role for the University of Vermont Medical Center site of the University of Vermont Health Network Division of Palliative Medicine
- Oversee all day-to-day clinical and educational activities for the University of Vermont Medical Center Division of Palliative Medicine site
- Envision and operationalize growth of clinical services at the University of Vermont Medical Center
- Lead quality initiatives for the Division of Hospice and Palliative Medicine in partnership with other site leaders and the Network Division Head
- Care for patients as part of the inpatient & outpatient palliative care consultation services at the University of Vermont Medical Center
- Demonstrate outstanding communication skills in interpersonal, clinical, and teaching settings
- Enhance the Division's focus on Excellence in Communication quality, innovation, training, scholarship, and research
- Demonstrate 3-5 years of experience successfully leading an interprofessional clinical team (preferred but not required)
