Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Northwest Supported Living, Inc. in Lacey.

This is a full-time Graveyard Shift position that requires flexibility and a commitment to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their own homes.

About the Job

The successful candidate will work 2 days on/ 2 days off plus every other weekend, with all training provided during the daytime only.

As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in implementing behavior plans, teaching self-care skills, cooking meals, doing household tasks, and engaging in fun activities with our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal care, including hygiene and grooming
  • Perform daily tasks such as light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a comfortable home environment
  • Plan and prepare meals, shop for groceries, and serve food
  • Accompany clients to scheduled medical appointments
  • Remind and assist clients with medication administration (with training)
  • Document services provided using computer systems

Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Pass a Washington State Criminal Background Check and complete fingerprints
  • Provide high school diploma or equivalent
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds, twist, turn, sit, and stand for periods of time
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have basic computer skills
  • Exhibit good problem-solving skills working as a team
What We Offer

A competitive salary of $48,000 per year, a hiring bonus of $500 after the first 90 days, and another $500 after completing six months of work and required training
