Job Summary

The Resident Assistant is a non-certified employee who plays a vital role in ensuring our residents receive the assistance they need with activities of daily living in a respectful and compassionate manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor resident vital signs and report any changes to the licensed nurse.
  • Understand and follow each resident's service plan and provide assistance as required.
  • Promote communication between community team members and residents for preferences, medical conditions, and other health-related issues.
  • Practice universal precautions and good infection control techniques.
  • Complete all documentation required by the end of shift or as directed.
  • Adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Attend in-service training and other required education as needed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Must be able to move within the community and residents' apartments freely and without limitation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable with technology to navigate an electronic health record.
