Job SummaryThe Resident Assistant is a non-certified employee who plays a vital role in ensuring our residents receive the assistance they need with activities of daily living in a respectful and compassionate manner.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor resident vital signs and report any changes to the licensed nurse.
- Understand and follow each resident's service plan and provide assistance as required.
- Promote communication between community team members and residents for preferences, medical conditions, and other health-related issues.
- Practice universal precautions and good infection control techniques.
- Complete all documentation required by the end of shift or as directed.
- Adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Attend in-service training and other required education as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Must be able to move within the community and residents' apartments freely and without limitation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable with technology to navigate an electronic health record.
