Automotive Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Dwayne Lane's Auto Family. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for examining and diagnosing vehicles, discussing repairs with our shop foreman or service advisor, and communicating additional service requests to our service advisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine and diagnose vehicles to identify areas of repair
- Discuss repairs with our shop foreman or service advisor to determine the best course of action
- Communicate additional service requests to our service advisor to ensure seamless communication
- Plan work in cooperation with our shop foreman to ensure efficient use of time and resources
- Provide labor estimates to our service advisor to ensure transparency and accuracy
- Monitor repair time and update our service advisor to ensure timely completion
- Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
- Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Assist in mentoring technician trainees to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development
- Attend company and factory training to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques
- Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, including the disposal of hazardous waste
Requirements:
We require a high school diploma or equivalent, 1-3 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additionally, we require an Operator Driver's License and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
