Job Summary:

The Telemetry Technician is responsible for monitoring and reporting ECG activity of patients on the telemetry unit under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. This role is a vital communication link with the RN regarding changes in cardiac rhythms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor ECG activity of patients on the telemetry unit
  • Report changes in cardiac rhythms to the Registered Nurse
  • Communicate effectively with the RN regarding patient care

Requirements:

  • Medical terminology course or experience
  • Basic ECG course and successful completion of PRMCE ECG test
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
