Electrical Controls Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Specialist to join our team at AmerisourceBergen Drug Corporation. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective use and functionality of automated equipment within our Distribution Center.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair electrical controls issues to a component level, including capacitors, inductors, diodes, LED, and transistors.
- Program basic changes to PLC Controllers, including modifying timing, adding alarms and logic for additional inputs or outputs.
- Troubleshoot communication issues with devices connected to the MHE network or other networks such as Profibus.
- Operate and diagnose all chill water plant systems, including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, BAS, HVAC, and water treatment.
- Mentor other technicians and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Strong technical and operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and systems.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD layouts, illustrated parts breakdown diagrams, and electrical circuitry diagrams and drawings.
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues, including testing, replacement, or repair of electrical systems, motors, power supplies, frequency drives, and other equipment.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ability to read electrical schematic, wiring diagrams, and PLC ladder and block logic.
- Ability to program basic changes to PLC controllers and properly wire additional devices to PLCs and other controllers.
- Working knowledge of computer systems and personal computers, including installation and setup of hardware and software.
